NU METRO RESPONSE                                                                        16 JULY'07

Dear D L Du Bois,
Thank you for your e-mail. We are currently pursuing an opportunity to
open a cinema in the Southern Part of Durban. The negotiations are at a
sensitive stage and hopefully we should be able to secure a site there
soon.
Regards,

Clive Marumo
Nu Metro Theatres
Chief Operations Officer

THIS LETTER WAS BEEN SENT (SEPARATELY) TO THE NATIONAL MANAGEMENT OF
STERKINEKOR AND NU METRO CINEMAS IN JOHANNESBURG

                                                                                                             4 July 2007

NEED FOR A NU METRO / STERKINEKOR INVESTMENT ON THE BLUFF

For too long investors have focused on the Umhlanga, Ballito area of greater Durban as the
place for property investment. The result now is saturation development. It's time investors
looked south.

The South Durban Basin is home to over half of Durban's population. It has several fine
shopping centres, the latest one, Bluff Towers, owned by Old Mutual Properties, would be a
winner anywhere in the country.

But nowhere in the southern part of Durban, except Chatsworth which is a city within a city,
is there a movie theatre. The nearest movie complexes are on the Berea or at the Pavilion.
That means movie -goers have to incur travel costs, road risks and inconvenience.

Therefore, I ask that Nu Metro/ Sterkinekor enquires about prospects for a movie house on
the Bluff. The fact that Old Mutual have seen fit to increase their property investment on the
Bluff in their multi-million Bluff Towers development is proof that this area has solid
potential. Moreover, one needs to bear in mind that support for such a development would
come from the Amanzimtoti area which is also deprived of movie house outlets.

I look forward to your response.

Yours faithfully

Cllr  D L Du Bois
